DC 2023 - Terms and Conditions
"Design Championship” is brought to you by ARK Infosolutions Private Limited (“ARK”). Please read these terms and conditions ("T&Cs") before entering the Contest. You agree that, by participating in this Contest, you will be bound by these T&Cs and you acknowledge that you satisfy all Contest eligibility requirements as provided herein below. For the purposes of these T&Cs, wherever the context so requires "You" or "Your" shall mean any natural person who is a participant in the Contest.
By registering at https://designchampionship.in, registrants, specifically agree to being contacted by email, text and phone for matters regarding their entry, deadlines, payments and competition news.
The Registrant’s completed registration application and fee payment constitutes confirmation that they have read, understood and agree to the following General Terms and Conditions.
OWNERSHIP
Design Championship is a National Level design competition for school going students. The organizer of Design Championship Competition and Awards, is MindBox - A division of ARK.
TERMS OF USE
All copyrighted images, trademarks and registered trademarks appearing on the Design Championship website are the property of ARK or their respective rights-holders and owners, and used on this website for reference purposes only.
ELIGIBILITY
You need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria to participate / register in the competition
a) You should be an individual resident of the Republic of India
b) You should be a School Student and of the age group of 6 to 16. Students may only participate in appropriate age level and category, who have obtained their parents and / or legal guardian permission
c) Is of sound health and mind
d) Enters the competition in accordance with the rules as defined in this document.
e) Each entrant may enter with projects as they wish, upon completion of registration and payment of appropriate fee(s) for the category. Entries may be submitted by individuals, or teams.
f) The Opening date for receipt of entries by ARK from participants is 5th December 2022 and the closing date for receipt of entries by ARK is 30th December 2022. Only one entry is allowed in each category.
In the case of duplicate or multiple entries from the same participant in a category, then the first entry to arrive at the designated submission address (as determined by the "received by" date) will be accepted as the entry into the Contest. Each participant is permitted to participate in max 2 categories as defined herein.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins on 5th December ,12:00pm Indian Standard Time (IST) Zone in India and ends on 15th Jan 2022, 10:00pm Indian Standard Time (IST) Zone ("Contest Period"). All dates are subject to change. Entries that are being sent through mail/courier should reach the mailing address within 3 working days post the deadline in order to have been submitted within the Contest Period.
The Design Championship Competition is open to all students wishing to share and promote their projects in the following
Categories: –
1. Game Design
2. App Design
3. Web Design
4. 3D Design
5. Movie Making
6. Coding
7. Graphics Design
There are 4 Levels of Age for all Categories and two qualifying rounds before National Championship.
- Beginner – 6-7 years (Born on or between 1st August 2015- 31st July 2017)
- Junior – 8-10 years (Born on or between 1st August 2012- 31st July 2015)
- Middle – 11-13 years (Born on or between 1st August 2009- 31st July 2012)
- Senior – 14-16 years (Born on or between 1st August 2006- 31st July 2009)
The entry fee is a one-time payment till the National Championship. Entrant’s payment fully completed registration form, the design and supporting documents must be received by the competition’s published closing date.
Registration and Operation :-
Phase 1- Registrations for Age Level, Individual or Team and Category with payment of registration Fees.
Phase 2 – Online submission of completed projects for Jury review. And if the projects gets selected as regional Winner, you may qualify for National Winner.
HOW TO ENTER
Participant will visit the contest website located at www.Designchampionship.in during the contest period and follow the instructions that appear on the website. You will be requested to fill in the information on the entry form.
- Any entry submitted via the digital upload tool on the Contest Site, please follow the instructions on the Contest Site. ARK is not responsible for illegible or incorrectly submitted entries.
- Entries received without a completed Entry Form or without a parent's or legal guardian's signature will be disqualified.
- LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER ENTRANT PER CATEGORY. Subsequent entries will be disqualified.
ARK REQUIRMENTS
The Entries and supporting statements must meet the following criteria : -
a) They must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, libellous or contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, tortuous, slanderous, discriminatory in any way, or that promotes hatred or harm against any group or person, or otherwise does not comply with the theme and spirit of the Contest.
b) They must not contain content, material or any element that is unlawful, or otherwise in violation of or contrary to all applicable federal, state, or local laws and regulation including the laws or regulations.
c) They must not contain any content, material or element that displays any third party advertising, slogan, logo, trademark, representation of characters indicating a sponsorship or endorsement by a third party, commercial entity or that is not within the spirit of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.
d) They must be original, unpublished works that does not contain, incorporate or otherwise use any content, material or element that is owned by a third party or entity.
e) They cannot contain any content, element, or material that violates a third party's publicity, privacy or intellectual property rights.
f) The Entrant does not include any disparaging remarks relating to the Sponsor or a third party.
g) During the Contest Period, ARK and/or the Jury (defined below) will be evaluating the respective entry and supporting statements to ensure that they meet the eligible Requirements. ARK reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant who submits an entry and supporting statement that does not meet the Requirements. Incomplete entries or entries not complying with these Rules are subject to disqualification.
JUDGING / JURY
A multi-disciplinary jury of experts is selected by the Design Championship organisers. This independent jury chooses the Design Championship winners. The jury is not required to justify or comment upon its decisions. Not every entry category will necessarily have a winner. Conversely, the Jury may, at their option, choose multiple winners in a category. The judge’s or jury’s decisions is private and completely confidential. The decision of the jury in the contest / competition will be final and non-contestable. The Company will not entertain any queries in this regard.
Prize
OFFICIAL DESIGN CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRANT & WINNER BENEFITS
The Prize consideration to the Winning Team* or individual*, would be distributed among the team members / participants, in the manner as may be determined by ARK
Online Exhibition Gallery: All nominees and award-winning designs will be showcased on www.designchampionship.in - online exhibition gallery for at least one year.
Only entries that fit Design Championship’s design guidelines, are in generally acceptable and DC organiser reserves all rights to determine whether works will be accepted or not.
“ARK reserves all the rights vis-à-vis ownership and contents of Design Championship website and is hence entitled to amend, terminate or cancel the terms and conditions thereof, with or without prior notice at any time, at its sole and absolute discretion”.
