The Design Championship started in August 2014, and will be completing 13 glorious years in 2026
Design Championship 2026 is a fully online competition that provides students with an exciting platform to showcase their creativity, innovation, and talent. The championship is open to all school students across the India, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
This year, we are excited to introduce a new competition category— Circuit Simulation —offering students an additional opportunity to demonstrate their technical skills and creativity alongside the existing design challenges.
There are two levels of championship: regional and DC final.
Winners and runner-ups of the regional-level championship will receive the trophy and e-certificates (except those regional winners who have qualified for the position as winner or runner-up in the DC final, as they will get DC final certificates and a trophy), and only winners of the regional-level competition will qualify for the DC final level.
The winner and runner-up at the DC Final Championship will receive a trophy & e-certificate of achievement.
School students aged 6 to 16 years from India, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates are eligible to participate in Design Championship 2026.
Participants will compete in one of the following four age groups based on the eligibility criteria for their respective competition category.
Beginner: 6–7 years (Born between August 1, 2018 and July 31, 2020)
Junior: 8–10 years (Born between August 1, 2015 and July 31, 2018)
Middle: 11–13 years (Born between August 1, 2012 and July 31, 2015)
Senior: 14–16 years (Born between August 1, 2009 and July 31, 2012)
Participants must also upload their age proof at the time of registration.
Design and develop your project based on the theme assigned to your registered category, and submit it before the specified submission deadline.
Please ensure that you follow the guidelines for your registered category and upload all the required files, documents, images, and videos specified in the submission requirements. Incomplete submissions or projects that do not meet the category guidelines will not be considered for the shortlisting process.
Following the submission review, shortlisted participants will be invited to a jury interview to present and explain their project. Based on the project evaluation and jury interaction, the winners and runners-up will be selected. The final results will be announced on the Design Championship website and official social media channels.
Jury members are renowned leaders from the fields of Animation, Design, Cinema, Gaming and Product Design.

No, you can not apply with a previously published design or product. All projects need to be built from scratch.
Yes, all participants will get the Participation e certificate
If your previously unpublished design/project is based on the theme issued by the Design Championship, then you can submit the same, but remember at any point of the championship, if it is found that design/project is not originally made by you or it is already published somewhere then your entry would be liable to cancel without any delay and notice.

Students from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are eligible to participate in Design Championship 2026. Additionally, international students who are currently pursuing their studies in India and meet the eligibility criteria are also eligible to participate in the championship.

Yes, all the Winners and Runner Ups projects will be included under winners’ projects on Design Championship website.
Once the details entered in registration form, then, participants cannot change any details, so please enter all correct information in the registration form.
The Regional Winners and Runners-up will receive a team trophy and e-certificates. Please note that one team trophy will be awarded per winning team. Teams wishing to obtain additional trophies for individual team members may do so by paying the applicable additional trophy charges.
Requests for extra trophies must be submitted within 48 hours of the publication of the winners' list on the Design Championship website. Requests received after this period may not be accommodated.
If the winners of the regional level championship, qualifies for the winner or runner-up position at the DC Final level championship, then they will receive only a DC Final level championship trophy for their respective achievement.
Remember, there is only one trophy for one team. However, students can pay extra trophy charges if they wish to have more than one trophy for their team members. for additional trophies Winners must ensure they inform us within 48 hours of the winners list being published on the DC website if they want extra trophies.
There will be a Winner and Runner Up from each category level. The Winners at regional Level will get qualified for DC Final Level Championship.
You need to qualify the Jury round to qualify for Regionals, please refer to the category guidelines of each category.
You need to Win the Regionals to automatically qualify for the DC Finals. For more information, please refer to the category guidelines of each category.
The teams/participants who do not qualify for the regional and DC Final championship, will get the participation E certificate
The Organizer of Design Championship will be authorized to use your Design/Project for promotions.
